Thank you for your help! Dogs can now fly in-cabin once again!

We are extremely thrilled to advise you that the Mexican aeronautics authority has reversed its position respecting pets in the passenger cabin.

The policy is very badly drafted and seems to have been done in a rush. Nevertheless, it is crystal clear that pets are allowed in the cabin. And IT HAS ALREADY BEEN ISSUED AND IS IN FORCE.

The ladies that our board member Ursula, have been working with on this problem, are going to contact the airlines to get the internal policies removed as soon as possible.

We will keep you posted as we become aware of the “reversals”.
A big breathe easy for summer travel for small dogs.

We have attached a copy of the official policy as well as an official translation, in case anyone is traveling in the near future. They would be good documents to have in your back pocket as there has certainly been some confusion.

THANK YOU Ursula for working so hard and getting this issue resolved so quickly!

The ministry of tourism of Mexico is logging calls and emails to put pressure on the DGAC to appeal their implementation of no pets in cabin on foreign carriers. We NEED from DGAC in writing to provide foreign airline carriers that pets flying in cabin is up to the discretion of the airline itself. They need to consider taking it one step further and allow national carriers to also allow pets in cabin so as not to affect code-share agreements. Please contact the ministry of tourism: 1-800-446-3942. Also please write: contact@visitmexico.com. Do not hesitate to contact your Mexican Embassy in your city in the USA and Canada. In this photo is Gary and Ann, stranded here in Mexico with their precious pets, homeowners that will be spending very little time in Mexico as a result of what they are going through. Dollars that are leaving Mexico as a result! They are just one case out of 1000′s being affected!
